I will keep this report short to make room for all of the flyers. I would really like everyone to attend the 2nd Annual Labor Day Parade this year, here in Flint. Last year, there were few details, but this year I hope everyone read in my last article that it would happen again. Hopefully, with any luck, we will have another sunny day just like last year. Please see the flyer below for the details and staging.

I hope, if you are in town, that you will march with your sisters and brothers from UAW Local 659 and many other Labor Day Unions from the Flint area. I hope to see you there!

We are still waiting for the Sanitation agreements to be published. The International UAW is still arguing with the companies about some of the language. We’ll get them distributed when they become available.

Don’t forget that Joint Council and Unit meetings will resume in September. Please look for the agendas posted in-plant and at the left of this column. Everyone should attend their Unit meetings to stay up to date from your elected representatives.
