Happy New Year Brothers and Sisters,
Hopefully everyone had a good Christmas and New Year celebration with friends, family, or anyone you wanted to celebrate with.
We did get our last 13 diemakers back from layoff (finally). They returned on Dec. 22nd. And with the workload picking up, layoffs should be in the rear-view mirror.
Speaking of workload, the machine shop and toolmaker areas continue to be on long hours and 7 days. This trend should expand to the rest of the first floor in the coming months as the work gets to verification, and then back through design and engineering for changes once the initial designs are verified.
No current info about the next SAP. I get asked often about “the next one”, but nothing to report yet. Possibly we will know something after sub-council in March. As soon as I know, I will pass along the info.
Not much else to report out at the moment. With the holidays and “part time” management in the plant, everything moves fairly slow at the moment. Hopefully have better and more to report next month. Thank You!
