Hello to February 2026!

General Motors announced that its North America profits for 2025 totaled $10.5 billion. As a result, all eligible hourly employees who accrued 1,850 or more compensated hours during 2025 will receive the maximum profit-sharing payment of $10,500.

Eligible hourly employees who accrued fewer than 1,850 compensated hours will receive a prorated profit-sharing amount based on their paid hours. For example, 1,250 hours worked x $5.68 per hour = $7,100.

Profit-sharing payments will be issued on the regular paycheck dated February 27, 2026.

It is your hard work, dedication, craftsmanship, and skills that drive the success and profitability of General Motors—and that contribution never goes unnoticed.

Please stay vigilant in reviewing your equalization hours, as they have now been zeroed out.

Management is responsible for maintaining copies of the weekly canvass sheets for the entire year. It is the member’s responsibility to review their hours regularly.

Any employee who identifies an error in their reported equalization hours will have sixty (60) days to request that the error be corrected.

If you believe there is a discrepancy, act promptly to protect your rights.

Management is informing the membership that there is no “dual supervision” under issue 4 of the Local Agreement. Management recognizes that employees normally take direction from one supervisor. However, there are certain exceptions, such as matters pertaining to safety, where supervision is required to take immediate action.
