Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I hope everyone is well, in good health, and have enjoyed the summer season and all the wonderful weather that we’ve had all summer.

We have had so many successful events throughout our city and also the successful events hosted by our Local Unions and Region, including: golf scrambles, annual Youth Outdoor Day event, Juneteenth events to 4th of July events and many more.

It’s good to have the participation of our UAW brothers, sisters, friends and family within our communities.

Flint’s annual Back to the Bricks, one of the largest events sponsored by General Motors, is always a blast event and with huge success that the committee and surrounding cities love to come out and experience every year, this summer has definitely been complete.

We all know that Joint Council meetings and all the Unit Membership meetings were canceled for the months of June, July and August. These meetings will proceed again in September, and I am looking forward to high-volume participation from our brothers and sisters.

I definitely want to reach out to the members from our LIC unit to attend our Union Membership meetings. Information is vital and with so many changes withing our facility within the last couple months and dealing with audits and safety concerns we want everyone to be informed and prepared for any new policies and challenges.

We want everyone to stay safe and to return home to their loved ones the same way they left them. Our committee within our unit is working hard with management in making sure we get exactly what we need and what it takes to achieve success in what we do in moving forward as we approach the quarter of the year with a safe and good record year.
