Before I begin to talk about our upcoming events, there was an error in September’s issue of the Searchlight about the cost for our Thanksgiving Dinners. Dues paying members and dues paying spouses pay only $5.00, while non-dues paying members and associates pay $25.00

For Holiday Dinners (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter & Annual Picnic Dinners), dues paying members and dues paying associates pay $25.00. Events are different prices and it depends on the event.

We will come out with 2026 events, dinners and our annual picnic. This next year will be busy and crowded, as we have our CAP Conference, Local Elections, Constitutional Convention, and our National Elections for the International. So, please make sure you have your correct address on file because a ballot for the International Election will be mailed out to the current address on file.

If you haven’t done anything about your WEX card or you don’t understand what to do, please call WEX at (844) 451-4300 and talk to a representative. They should help you fill out the paperwork. Remember, you will need your statement from Social Security that everyone gets in December that informs what you will be receiving and deduction for Part B premium for 2025. You will have until April 2026 to return your paperwork for 2025.

November and December’s Chapter Meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of both months, because of our Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinners.
