Greetings Brothers and Sisters,

I hope all is well and you are in good spirit. I’ve missed submitting reports for the past couple Searchlight monthly papers, so I want to jump right back into it with some important helpful information for the members within the LIC unit.

First and foremost, we want to welcome our newly elected Committee Reps in their leadership role…
Derrald ‘D Bo’ Boggan….. 1st shift
Ernest ‘Lucky’ Bailey………2nd shift

Also, congratulations to our newly elected Alternate Reps…
Tyler Burkett……………………1st shift
Dan Hillaker……………………3rd shift

We now have a full committee with all positions filled, and we’re making very fast progress on tackling some very important issues and targeting safety issues within our facility.

A lot of changes are being made within the facility and there’s more to come. We want everyone to be advised and remember to take the time within each week to give some attention to your Union Information billboard and all other resources that you may have in place to receive information and updates, whether through the company or your Union.

One of the Union vital sources that is available to every member is our monthly Unit Meetings and Joint Council Meetings. We definitely want to get our new members engaged and staying current with important info to help sustain our jobs, safety, and so much more; while also understanding and knowing the importance in having the privilege of working in a union facility and being a member of the UAW, having a CBA, and being a proud dues-paying member.

We will continue to push forward and look forward to the upcoming months of wonderful weather and many events to come. We hope many can get out and participate in some of our events and enjoy the fun times with Union brothers and sisters, family and friends, while also staying conscious to what is going on in our economy and what is going on within our government and political events that can affect our lives.
