Brothers and Sisters,

On Monday, September 1st, 2025, there will be a Labor Day parade, led by Sheriff Chris Swanson, starting at the Bristol Road Church of Christ and ending at Region 1D. There will also be speakers honoring and remembering Labor. We, as retirees, need to show support and have a great showing of our retirees in attendance. So, please put this date on your calendar. The start time for the parade is 11:00 a.m.

Also, I would like to remind everyone that the Trust will be at our Chapter meeting on September 16th. They will inform us on what’s new for 2026.

Remember, if you are using your HRA card for eyeglasses, dental work or medical care, you will need to get an itemized receipt to keep on record in case they ask for it before payoff.

Our Firekeepers Casino Trip will be October 28th. Ticket sales will be Sept. 2nd, 16th and Oct. 7th, 21st. Cost is $15.00 for Dues-paying members and Associates. Non-dues-paying members and Associates cost is $30.00.

Our Retirees Thanksgiving Dinners will be held November 11th and 12th. Ticket sales dates are Sept. 16th, Oct. 7th, 21st and Nov. 4th. Dues-paying members and dues-paying Associates cost is $5.00. Non-dues-paying members and non-dues-paying Associates cost is $25.00.

Associates, please don’t forget to pay your dues. Don’t wait until an event to renew, because that puts our secretary behind on her work. So, again, please do not wait for an event to renew.
