Greetings Brothers and Sisters,
What’s the old saying… April showers bring May flowers? At this rate, everyone should have flowers!
I hope everyone had a great Easter and enjoyed their time off. If you had a chance to stop by the Easter Party at the Union Hall; you probably noticed how packed it was; from searching for a parking spot to finding a seat inside. That’s because it was the largest Easter party turnout we have ever hosted, and it was completely amazing.
Our volunteers did a wonderful job making sure the kids had a great time. I want to give a special thank you to the Easter Bunny and to Luke, who did a great job, as always, capturing some awesome pictures. There were plenty of smiles, lots of candy, and great memories made. The weather even cooperated this year, which helped bring out the huge turnout for the Easter Egg Hunt.
Once again, thank you to everyone who helped make this day possible. It truly couldn’t happen without all of you.
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10th this year. This is a special day to recognize all mothers for their positive contributions to their families and society. I’d like to wish my mom and all mothers a very Happy Mother’s Day… Enjoy your day!
On Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 9:30 am – 3:00 pm, UAW Local 659 will host the Fourth Annual “Get Youth Outdoors Day” at the Flint Bluegill Boat Launch. This is a free kids’ event featuring fishing, a BB gun trailer, field dog training, and many other exciting activities.
An adult chaperone must accompany all participants. Registration is not required this year. Last year’s turnout was amazing, and we’re looking to make this year even bigger. With that being said, we are in need of volunteers for this event.
Please note: May’s Union Meeting has been moved back one week due to Mother’s Day. All meetings will be held on May 17, 2026.
Remember, no matter who you are or where you come from, we are all in this together!
