It has been quite an eventful year, with many agreements being ratified after the UAW/GM National Agreement in late 2023. We had the Sanitation Agreements (Aramark, JLL/Eurest), ACC, Avancez and Logistics Insight Corp all negotiated and ratified this year. Last but not least, Lear Seating is currently in negotiations and will hopefully have a new agreement soon. Everyone should know that we don’t always get what we want in collective bargaining, but we have seen some immense gains in pay and benefits in this past year.

As we did last year, we are supporting and collecting unwrapped toys for “The Old Newsboys of Flint Christmas Program.” We want to express our gratitude to everyone who helped sell papers, bought a paper, bought a button, or made any donations. Our last day of collecting donations at Local 659 will be Friday, December 20. Thank you for supporting this worthy charity and ensuring that “no child is forgotten” this holiday season.
